Discover the Delight of Egg Coffee
Cà Phê Trứng — Vietnamese Egg Coffee — was first created in Hanoi in the 1940s by Nguyễn Văn Giang at the legendary Café Giảng. During the milk shortage after World War II, he replaced milk with whipped egg yolk to create a creamy topping for coffee.
Today, eggyolk honours this legacy with a modern approach: single-origin Arabica beans, organic farm-fresh eggs, and our signature double-bowl ceramic serving vessel that keeps your drink at the perfect temperature throughout the experience.
The result is a drink that is part coffee, part dessert — 100% Vietnamese.
How We Grew
The First Cup
eggyolk opened its first café in Hoàn Kiếm, Hà Nội — a small space with a big dream: to share authentic Cà Phê Trứng with the world.
Tràng Tiền Plaza
Moved into Tràng Tiền Plaza — one of Hanoi's most iconic addresses, bringing egg coffee to the heart of the capital's culture.
Signature Menu Launch
Introduced the Egg Coffee Matcha and Cacao variants — a bold creative evolution that stayed true to the egg cream at its heart.
